I was teaching Mardi Gras French words. When we got to the word for "sequin," and I asked which celebrities wear sequins, one of my students, when someone said Beyonce, piped up the same devil worship concept. Then she followed it with, "It's because they are Masons." Where about these caregivers coming up with this stuff? I didn't even address her comments. Someone else said, "Michael Jackson!" We just moved on to the words for bead and float.

Wow, I'd suggest she did a little research and see if that information is true and then present her findings to her mom-one way or another - or not.
