Welcome
Yes, I know. My first entry is coming a bit later than expected. I wanted so badly to keep up with it, I lost track of what it was actually for. If you’re reading this, you’re likely a good friend – someone I don’t want to lose touch with, a special person I want to invite into my world, if just for a few moments at a time. So thank you for stopping by and taking a look.
Now you’re probably wondering what all the fuss is about – why the need for a blog? As I begin my journey into teaching and a new life in Philadelphia, I’m intent on using this experience as a way to both express and share my daily encounters, but also as a means to keep myself grounded in the work I am taking on and keep a record of the things that matter most to me. You’ll find this blog will wander into the far corners of my interests and the familiar quirky circumstances I often find myself in. If you know me well, you know exactly the kind of circumstances I am referring to. This blog will often share stories from the classroom – both while standing at the blackboard and while in the halls of my school. But it won’t be limited to gripping about students or grading. I will, from time to time, show you other parts of my life that will, at its best, entertain you and, at its worst, hopefully inform you.
Regardless of what you get out of it, know it means a lot to have you here. To know that people are listening can make a world of difference.
- Jeff
more updates please.
Just wanted to stop by and say hello. Please try and keep up with your blog (unlike me) because I really am looking forward to following your adventures in teaching.
Hope the move went smoothly.
